Where we shop: LBB's Guide to Online Home Goods & Furniture

Oooohhhh the world of online shopping - we love it and hate it all at the same time.  There is an endless amount of options that are sure to overwhelm even the savviest of online shoppers.  Below we have comprised a list of our all time favorite online retailers.  These sites are all reliable and are fantastic places to start your online shopping journey!

One Kings Lane:

There are so many reasons why we love OKL.  Not only does this site have daily sales with amazing merchandise, but it’s also super easy to navigate. Use the favorites feature that lets you heart items and save them to your account to keep track of all your finds.  Also, use the customer service whenever a problem arises - they are wonderfully helpful and it’s always a breeze to fix any situation.  Overall, the site has an amazing selection for all price points, friendly and reliable customer service, and great features that make it easy to navigate and organize your favorites.

Dot & Bo:

Dot & Bo has a wide variety of merchandise for those who love the modern and mid-century.  There are chic pieces for every budget and fantastic sales.  With a huge selection and a credit when you join.  Dot & Bo is a must visit!

Chairish:

Chairish is currently one of our go-to sites.  With a huge selection of amazing vintage, antique, and lightly used newer pieces, Chairish has something for everyone.  Customer service is incredible, and all the sellers are wonderful, and reliable.  You can even bid on items to save some cash.

Overstock:

Packed with an endless amount of overstocked home goods, Overstock boasts one of the largest selections online.  With so many items in one place you’re going to have to be a bit creative with keywords, choosing the right ones can save you from sorting through hundreds of pages.  We love Overstock for affordable and chic area rugs, as well as some of the lowest prices on chair pairs.

Amazon:

What can’t you get on Amazon?!   There’s always a great selection of all home goods and also incredible deals.  We’ve gotten fantastic side chairs here as well as some incredible storage pieces.  All of this with Amazon’s quick shipping makes it an amazing site to find pieces for your home.

Ikea

We have a love hate relationship with this site. Only certain items are available for online purchase, however, they have a handy stock checker that will save you time from those eternal Ikea shopping trips. The stock checker lists the availability of any item in the stores near you - it’s a life saver!

Cost Plus World Market:

Ah World Market, how we love you.  World Market’s site has many more options than available in store along with a fabulous stock checker if you feel like popping in to take a look at pieces in person! The option to get emailed stock updates is also available, helping you stay on top of your shopping.  Our favorite feature on the site is the order online, pick up in store - it’s saved us tons in shipping.

Pottery Barn:

We all know Pottery Barn, PB Teen, and Pottery Barn Kids, but did you know that they all have easy to navigate sites?  With constant sales and more options than in store, these sites are a must. We personally love Pottery Barn bedding and bath linens, it’s well priced and super chic.

Urban Outfitters

Who knew Urban has such a strong home goods selection? They have everything you can imagine in a fun and whimsical style.  All items are very reasonably priced and the site often has sales to save you even more.

1st Dibs:

This is Maddy’s all time favorite site, and it’s probably the most unique one on the list.  1st Dibs has put all the best vintage/antique stores and dealers in one place.  Prices are pretty high, but the pieces are absolutely incredible and completely unique, so we use this site for inspiration.  Create an account to gain access to our favorite “favoriting” system that allows you to save items and organize them in categorized folders.  If you do decide to splurge on a must have piece the purchasing process is extremely easy and even allows you a chance to get a lower price!  1st Dibs is a true design fanatics dream and is sure to inspire.

Hillary Thomas:

Shop here to get some of the most beautiful and reasonably priced lamp finials.  Hilary Thomas boasts finials made of a huge variety of stones in candy colors.  We use these in our own homes to spice up simple lamps - it’s an easy way to make a statement!

Etsy:

Etsy is truly one of the best sites.  If you’re looking for totally unique items at perfect price points, Etsy is your site.  Made up of hundreds of thousands of independent shops and vendors from all around the world, it’s near impossible not to find what you’re looking for.  We recently bought a gold sequin table cloth for an outdoor table…like we said, you can always find what you’re looking for.

School House Electric Co.:

If you’re looking for stylish, classic, yet hip lighting at a reasonable price, this is your place.  With plenty of shade and base options in simple and fun colors, School House Electric is a must shop for us.  The lighting will fit in almost every style of home making it a universally great place to shop.  Also, take a look at the home accessories, there are some fab finds.

CB2:

CB2 is Crate and Barrel’s hipper, more affordable younger sibling.  Their site has a large selection of hip, funky, and modern pieces that we love.  Not only is their furniture fantastic, but their home accessories and lighting are truly fabulous.  CB2 tends to stay on trend without being too trendy.

Society 6:

Society 6 brings a strong art game along with a full framing service.  Pick from a huge selection of fabulous well priced prints, and get your selection framed for a fraction of the usual price.  We love everything this site has to offer!
